Youth  Center/Outreach

THE COMPASS exists to come alongside the youth of Alaska and help them navigate the challenging teen years.  We want every youth to find purpose, hope, and to pursue a brighter future for themselves and our communities. Our youth center in Nikiski, Alaska provides a safe place for after school drop-in where youth can build healthy relationships and discover who they were created to be. We offer a variety of programs to help youth develop character, life skills, and direction. THE COMPASS partners with many other organizations to solve larger youth related challenges and to meet the needs of youth throughout Alaska. We believe in the ability of our youth to overcome obstacles and reach their highest potential. We're here to help NAVIGATE the way.

Youth  Drop-in

The drop-in center is open weekdays 2:30-6pm and is a safe place where youth can drop-in to play games, have a snack, play some music, work on art, get tutoring help, or just hang out.  This is a place where youth can come have a good time, grow, and belong.

Programs and Activities

THE COMPASS offers various programs and activities for youth to voluntarily participate in.  Some of the programs may be offered weekly and some periodically throughout the year.  The goal is for our youth to learn, grow, and develop into the well-rounded, responsible adults we know they can be.  See below for many of the exciting programs.
